July 29, 2017 - Top 10 Finish With TOMS at Devil's Bowl Speedway
Returning with the Touring Outlaw Modified Series, Phil Dixon headed to RPM Speedway (Crandall, Texas) on Friday night competing in a field of 29 Open Wheel Modifieds. Slipping back to a 7th place finish in his heat race, Dixon transferred into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature. Sending the Top 10 into the Day Motorsports A-Main, Phil came up one sport short with an 11th place outing.

The following night brought 26 TOMS entries to Devil’s Bowl Speedway (Mesquite, Texas) for the 25-lap feature. After placing 5th in his heat race, Dixon reeled in a 10th place finish in the feature.

July 22, 2017 - Phil Dixon Attends Silver Dollar Nationals at I-80 Speedway
On Friday night Phil Dixon made the trip to I-80 Speedway (Greenwood, Nebraska) for the 7th annual Silver Dollar Nationals. Drawing 43 United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) entries for the two-day event, Phil dropped four spots in his first heat to place 9th. Rolling off 5th in his second heat race, Dixon slipped back to an 8th place outing transferring him into the B-Main on Saturday for one final shot at the $10,000-to-win finale. Taking the Top 6, Phil charged through the field 12 spots reeling in a 3rd place finish. Earning the 18th-starting position for the main event, Phil Dixon passed three cars in the 40-lap affair to place 15th.

July 8, 2017 - Top 5 Finish in Summer Nationals Finale at Highland Speedway
Kicking off the second week in the Hell Tour, Dixon traveled to Quincy Raceway (Quincy, Illinois) on Monday to a field of 27 cars. Opening the night with a runner-up finish in his heat race, Phil secured his spot into the A-Main. Reeling in a podium finish, Phil Dixon notched a 3rd place spot behind Michael Long and Kenny Wallace with Ray Bollinger and David Wietholder completing the Top 5 finishers. (Rick Neff photo)

Wrapping up the action-packed Fourth of July weekend, Dixon stopped at Fayette county Speedway (Brownstown, Illinois) on Tuesday to a field of 38 Modifieds. Starting the night off with a 4th place finish in his heat race, Phil earned the 14th-starting position for the feature. Wheeling his way into the Top 5, Phil Dixon charged through the field ten spots to place 4th behind Mike Harrison, Nick Hoffman, and Will Krup with Trent Young coming in 5th.

Wednesday's scheduled event at Belle-Clair Speedway (Belleville, Illinois) was washed out by Mother Nature.

Thursday night brought Dixon to Macon Speedway (Macon, Illinois) for the Herald & Review 100. Following the third fastest time in his qualifying group, Phil made hard contact with the wall in his heat race sending him pitside. After the crew got the car back in shape for his consolation event, Dixon edged his way from the C-Main into the B-Main. Needing a 2nd place finish better in his B-Main, Phil logged a 4th place outing ending his night.

The following night at Farmer City Raceway (Farmer City, Illinois), Phil secured his spot into the feature with a 2nd place finish in his heat race behind Ray Bollinger. Rolling off 8th for the feature, Dixon limped his way to an 8th place finish after suffering a flat-tire in the closing laps of the A-Main.

Bringing an end to his tenure in the Hell Tour, Dixon stopped at Highland Speedway (Highland, Illinois) on Saturday. Leading the night off with a heat race win, Phil earned the 3rd-starting position for the A-Main. Holding his spot for the entire distance, Phil Dixon registered a 3rd place finish.

July 2, 2017 - Phil Dixon Heads to Land of Lincoln for Summer Nationals Hell Tour
Debuting in the UMP Summit Modified Hell Tour, Phil Dixon visited Charleston Speedway (Charleston, Illinois) on Tuesday night kicking off the busy week. Timing in fifteenth fastest in qualifying, Dixon went on to place 4th in his heat race locking him into the 14th-starting position for the opening night feature. Losing one spot on a track that saw very limited passing, Phil recorded a 15th place outing.

On Wednesday after starting the night off with a heat race win over Kenny Schrader at the Dirt Oval at Route 66 (Joliet, Illinois), Mother Nature rolled in before the start of the feature ending the night immediately.

After taking a few nights off to regroup, Dixon returned to action on Saturday at I-55 Raceway (Pevely, Missouri) competing in a stacked field off 44 Open Wheel Modifieds. Passing two cars in his heat race, Phil landed a 4th place finish locking him into the 15th-starting position for the A-Main. Losing three positions, Phil Dixon slipped back to an 18th place outing.

The following night with 40 Open Wheel Modifieds on hand at Lincoln Speedway (Lincoln, Illinois), Dixon secured his spot into the show with a 3rd place finish in his heat. Coming one spot shy of a Top 5 finish, Phil Dixon jumped up four spots posting a 6th place outing.
