June 30, 2018 - Phil Dixon Bags 7th Place Finish With Hell Tour at LaSalle Speedway
Monday night saw Phil Dixon in action at Spoon River Speedway (Canton, Illinois) following the DIRTcar Summer Nationals Hell Tour. With 22 Open Wheel Modifieds registered in for action, Dixon locked his spot into the A-Main with a 4th place finish in his heat. Rolling off 11th, Phil suffered a flat-tire in the opening laps that sent him into the infield pit area. Rejoining the field a few laps later, Dixon salvaged an 18th place outing.

With weather washing out Tuesday’s event at Charleston Speedway (Charleston, Illinois), Dixon returned with the Hell Tour on Wednesday evening at LaSalle Speedway (La Salle, Illinois). Following a 3rd place finish in his heat, Phil notched a 7th place finish in the 25-lap feature.

On Thursday night at Terre Haute Action Track (Terra Haute, Indiana), Phil pulled out his USRA car for the 11th stop of the Hell Tour. After dealing with bad vibration in his heat race, the crew was able to get the car dialed in for the feature with Phil reeling in a 7th place finish.

The following night Phil stopped at Federated Raceway at I-55 (Pevely, Missouri) competing in a stout field of 38 cars. Jumping up two spots in his heat, Dixon recorded a 5th place finish transferring him into the B-Main. Coming in 3rd, Phil earned the 19th-starting position for the A-Main.  Falling two spots shy of a Top-10 finish, Phil Dixon gained seven spots to place 12th. (Ryan Roberts photo)

June 23, 2018 - Pair of Top 10 Finishes in Hell Tour Action at Tri-City and FALS
After Mother Nature wiped out three consecutive Hell Tour events in a row, Phil Dixon returned to action on Friday night at Tri-City Speedway (Granite City, Illinois) competing in a field of 28 cars. After timing in third fastest in his qualifying group, Dixon landed a 3rd place finish in his heat positioning him 8th on the starting grid for the feature. Holding his spot for the entire distance, Phil registered an 8th place outing.

On Saturday night at Fairbury American Legion Speedway (Fairbury, Illinois), Dixon jumped up two spots in his heat race to place 3rd. Earning the 10th-starting position for the $1,500-to-win A-Main, Phil passed two cars in the 30-lap affair reeling in an 8th place finish.

June 17, 2018 - Podium Finish With Summer Nationals Hell Tour at Sycamore Speedway; 4th Place Finish at the Dirt Ovall at Route 66 Raceway
On Wednesday night Phil Dixon made the trek to Peoria Speedway (Peoria, Illinois) kicking off the UMP DIRTcar Summernationals Hell Tour. In a field of 32 Open Wheel Modifieds, Dixon followed up the eighth fastest time in his qualifying group with a 4th place finish in his 8-lap heat. Earning the 16th-starting position for the opening night feature, Phil dropped five spots in the 25-lap affair logging a 21st place outing.

The following night at Kankakee County Speedway (Kankakee, Illinois), Dixon jumped up two spots in his heat reeling in a 4th place finish. Breaking into Top-10 in the feature, Dixon gained six positions to place 10th.

For the third stop of the Hell Tour, Dixon stopped at Sycamore Speedway (Maple Park, Illinois) on Friday evening. Earning the 7th-starting position for the feature via preliminary events, Phil improved four spots in the 25-lapper notching a 3rd place finish behind Mike McKinney and Steven Brooks with Donovan Lodge and Ray Bollinger completing the Top-5 finishers.

On Saturday night at the Dirt Oval at Route 66 Raceway (Joliet, Illinois), Phil followed up a 3rd place finish in his heat race with a 4th place finish in the feature trailing Mike McKinney, Zeke McKenzie, and Levi Kissinger across the finish line with Donovan Lodge coming in 5th.

Wrapping up the first week of the Sumer Nationals Hell Tour, Dixon stopped at Plymouth Speedway (Plymouth, Indiana) on Sunday competing in a field of 28 Open Wheel Modifieds. After failing to lock his spot into the show through his heat race, Phil secured his spot into the main event with a 3rd place finish in his B-Main. Wheeling his way into the Top-10, Phil Dixon passed 11 cars in the 25-lapper reeling in a 8th place finish.
